CAPEX, the Charlotte Area Power EXchange, is a BDSM centric non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, support and a social network for its contributors in a safe, responsible, and discretion-conscious environment. CAPEX is an affirming and inclusive group of all identities of people. Our group has an array of those who are quite experienced to those who are quite new and can offer a sense of fellowship for people interested in the BDSM lifestyle.

The first CAPEX meeting was held on January 22, 2000 at a local hotel in a small meeting room. Mistrezz E, a few key members from TALON, the BDSM group in Greensboro, NC, and 20-25 locals were instrumental in the formation of CAPEX.
