< BACK TO QUILT Pin Panel 8 In 2019, the decision was made to remove pins and dedicated pin panels from the quilt. < BACK TO QUILT Iron Guard B.C., NYC Iron Guard is a Brotherhood Club (BC) of men who get together to share and celebrate our interest in the leather community in a spirit of friendship, goodwill, and brotherhood. Iron Guard is a member of the Atlantic Motorcycle Coordinating Council (AMCC) which is the umbrella organization that coordinates the events and activities of numerous leather/motorcycle clubs on the eastern seaboard of the United States. Club Beginnings: July 20, 1975 marks the date of the first official meeting of the Iron Guard Brotherhood Club. Tom Sullivan was the first president. The logo is the knight in “shining armor” with crossed swords in a square white background. The word “Iron Guard” is encompassed in an unbroken chain of brotherhood. The goals of the club incorporate the best ideals of those groups which have preceded us on the scene and a spirit of fraternity. During the 1975 ShipMates’ fling in “Fun City”, the Iron Guard B.C. had its first official showing of colors. They were represented at the major runs in the East and received participation awards at Entre Nous’s Days of Equinox, Vikings MC & Entre Nous’s joint event Boston Massacre, and the Nine Plus Run. Iron Guard B.C. had bar nights at the Spike Bar on second Wednesday. They also has club nights at the Candle Bar. On June 26, 1976, the club celebrated its first anniversary with a private dinner and night on the town. Club Council Affiliations: Atlantic Motorcycle Coordinating Council (AMCC) During Fire Island Run that was hosted by Cycle M.C. and the Sixty Nine Club of London, the Iron Guard B.C. had the honor of being voted into AMCC on May 15, 1976. In 2019 club member Steve N. reported that Iron Guard had disbanded. The club was removed from the AMCC roster on December 7, 2019. C.O.N.Y.A.C. - Confederation of New York Area Clubs Iron Guard B.C. was a member of Confederation of New York Area Clubs (CONYAC) that formed in 1981. < BACK TO QUILT House of Iron The House of Iron (HoI) was formed in 2021, by Ms. Jay Iron. HoI is an Indigenous based Leather Family collective composed of clans who may have various kinks, fetishes, cultures, and knowledge, who subscribe to the principles of the 7 Granfather Teachings (Love, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, Humility, & Wisdom). The dynamic of the House of Iron is rooted in the entrustment of power, a collective wisdom and the fudnamental principles of decolonizing kink. The Matriarchy, the house leadership, facilitates agreements between clans and is responsible for final decision making. < BACK TO QUILT Leather Solidarity Collective Amid the groundswell of the George Floyd and Black Lives Matter protests that rang loudly across the nation and globe in 2020, a group of passionate folks in the Leather, BDSM, and Kink Communities banded together to bring antiracist activism to our own Leather/Kink Lifestyle Community through a series of several virtual town halls—“Navigating Racism During Two Pandemics.” This diverse group of strong BIPOC Leaders and fierce Allies and Advocates lived in different states, belonged to different organizations, identified across the gender and sexuality spectrum, and did their kink, fetishes, and relationships differently. < BACK TO QUILT Felines of Color Collective (FoCC) Felines of Color Collective (FoCC), an organization for self-identified kinky felines, including cats/kittens/nekos, tigers, lions, panthers, leopards, lynxes, cheetahs, cougars, hyenas, pumas, wildcats, et cetera, of African, Latino/Hispanic, Asian, Arab and Indigenous descent who participate in animal/pet play. Felines of Color Collective (FoCC) is a safe space for fellowship, play, emotional transparency, and non-oppressive, POC-affirming ideas and politics for kinky felines. Our primary objective is to empower felines to voice their interests and experiences, and foster educational and restorative camaraderie for felines, their owners, and other kinksters of color.
