ONYX Southeast

ONYX Southeast, a chapter of the national ONYX organization, was established in August 1999. Our mission is to educate and support gay, bi, and trans men of color in the leather/kink lifestyle residing in Georgia, Tennessee, and central Alabama. We provide opportunities to explore their identity and empower them to connect with the broader leather communities worldwide.

Our three pillars are: Educate. Explore. Empower.

Our five founders—Stan, EJ, Jamal, Reggie, and Ricc—kicked things off with their first bar night at the Atlanta Eagle on the first Sunday of August 1999. The monthly event was soon moved to the first Friday, a time that has remained since 2000. Our monthly bar night consistently brings the largest crowd to the Atlanta Eagle, with music by the legendary DJ Ron Pullman of Pullman Soul.

We’re proud to have connected with many other leather clubs and LGBTQ events across the Southeast, such as Southeast Leather Fest, Big Boy Pride, Central Alabama Pride, Lords of Leather, Leather Leadership Conference, and more. We welcome collaborations with other like-minded organizations.
