< BACK TO QUILT ShipMates Club of Baltimore We are the oldest Leather/Levis Social club in Maryland. The club began in April 1974 with 27 Charter members at the Gallery Bar when the patrons were asked ”Are you interested in forming a leather/levi club?” Within a few months, membership grew to 49 men after several meetings at the apartment of Walter Beall and Jack Fauth. < BACK TO QUILT House of Blue The House of Blue (HoB), based out of southern Maryland, is a Leather family headed by senior Master Mister‐Blue, the 2018 International Master/slave title holder and the 2017 NE Master/slave title holder and his slave/wife BlueFrost, the 2018 International Master/slave title holder and the 2017 NE Master/slave title holder. The HoB employs a myriad of military principles closely aligned with Leather values as its base for operations. Respect, Honor, Integrity, Duty, Selfless Service, Loyalty, and Personal Courage are the Army’s core values of LDRSHIP which the HoB follows as they serve the Leather community near and far. As the House motto is “Trust, Respect and Obedience”, the HoB requires nothing less than excellence in their service to self and community as they continue to remain a shining example alongside their peers. Members of the House of Blue can often be found out and about in the community speaking at conferences and other gatherings. < BACK TO QUILT House of Rising Phoenix House of Rising Phoenix was established in November 2016 by Sir Phoenix Black as a familial, poly, leather household. House of Rising Phoenix currently works and serves in the metro Atlanta area. About the House Colors and Crest: House of Rising Phoenix house colors are Royal Blue and Gold. Royal blue to signify the dignity and class household members are expected to uphold. Gold to represent the goal of value and purity that the house hopes to achieve. The crest shows a phoenix rising from the flames towards five arrows which represent the five principles we strive towards, which are Honor, Accountability, Respect, Responsibility and Transparency (H.A.R.R.T.). < BACK TO QUILT Indiana Leather Club Indiana Leather Club is a diverse, pansexual group of adults who share a common interest in Leather, BDSM, or similar kink (bondage, spanking, etc.) and who want to be active in building a thriving and supportive community in the state of Indiana. The mission of the Indiana Leather Club is to: Build close fraternal bonds among members, encouraging members to become personally stronger, more knowledgeable about Leather culture and tradition, and more capable of contributing to the Club and the Leather community at large. Maintain our national/international communication, information, education, and support network for all members of the Leather/BDSM/Fetish community. Model the power and pride of all adults who engage in consensual sexual expression and encourage those who fight for decriminalization of all sexual acts between consenting adults. Support individual and organized political activism, visibility, and education in order to eradicate stereotypical beliefs, misconceptions, and media misrepresentation about the Leather/BDSM/Fetish family in the community at large. Continue providing, through publications, educational material, and conferences, a forum for the sharing of knowledge, viewpoints, and practices of a diverse network of people. Welcome women, people of color, non-binary persons, the deaf, the physically challenged, and others who have traditionally been discriminated against or poorly represented within the Leather/BDSM/Fetish community.Attend, promote, and support fundraising for deserving defense funds, projects, clubs, organizations, and/or charities, which have given direct service to the Leather/BDSM/Fetish community. < BACK TO QUILT The Herd Our vision- The Herd strives to create a positive space for free expression of sexuality, guided by values of equality and inclusiveness. We aim to promote leather culture, both locally and abroad, through the guiding principals of honesty, integrity, respect, and loyalty. We believe in service to the community and work with those who educate and raise awareness of issues related to sexuality and sex-positive culture. And, above all else, we are about having fun, creating new experiences, and expanding our tribe. Origins: The Herd was originally started in Winnipeg, Manitoba in summer of 2017 as an open concept for those interested in leather culture. Most of the founding members had been involved in educating and organizing community events for years prior under the banners of Winnipeg Sex Positive Culture, Tortured Youth, MAsT, and others. In fall of 2017, the group elected to move to a closed membership structure and focus its efforts on building Leather culture throughout the Prairies, working alongside a wider network across Western Canada as well as the United States. Notes on the logo: As well as being the provincial animal of Manitoba, the Bison was originally chosen as the outline of the logo as it symbolized the determination and resilience of the Prairies.
