< BACK TO QUILT Monarch Z House Monarch Z was founded in 1999 by Ms. Marilyn Zerquera. After several years, it went dormant and was reestablished 2015. It is an intergenerational, blood oath sworn, chosen family whose members are presently all POC and reside throughout Southeast Florida. They develop their individual lives knowing they are not alone. What affects one can affect them all. They show reverence to those that paved the leather path before them and gentleness to those that are trying to find their way. Knowing with care and guidance a caterpillar can emerge as a butterfly. The Monarchs are lifetime learners who believe service is at the heart of Leather. Collectively or individually, at the time of this application, they host/moderate 5 monthly groups in Southeast Florida. Most teach at a local and/or national level. The family’s nonjudgmental accepting atmosphere encourages individual growth. < BACK TO QUILT Black Atlanta Munch The Black Atlanta Munch (B.A.M.) group was created by and for Black persons and People of Color (BIPOC) who desire to actively explore the Atlanta alternative lifestyle community and community-at-large through kink, BDSM, and Leather education and socials. Our primary goal and purpose of the Black Atlanta Munch group is to meet each month to foster acquaintances and friendships among all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color within the lifestyle. Our secondary goal is to collaborate within the kink, BDSM, and Leather communities-at-large to create inclusive social and educational opportunities with ALL partners, supporters, and allies/accomplices of BIPOC folks.
